Ichigo: Bankai!

Ichigo: Bankai! (Joshua Ziregbe)

Have you ever felt conflicted? Like there's a part of you hell bent on destroying everything you've built. Not so much of an alter ego, but more of a dual consciousness? Yes? Then you've come to the right place.

BLEACH is a story made by Kubo Tite sama which centers on the Japanese death-god mythology. Now a typical question to ask is "Why the name bleach?", but that's the perfect name for the story since it's all about black and white.

However, unlike what we know, black is pure and good while white is corrupted and evil and since everything good eventually goes bad, in this alternate universe, everything black is eventually bleached.

Back to your conflicted heart. The main character in this story is just like that, having in himself all the types of power in the story, he struggles to stay on the side he thinks is just and right but nothing is ever as black and white as the uniforms worn by shinigami (death gods) and quinces.

So Ichigo (the protagonist) finds himself fighting on both sides of the battle field with the only compass he can truly trust, his closest friends and family.

I have never been a fan of villifing characters, so bleach really appealed to me, assuring me that in even the greatest heroes lie great darkness and in even the darkest villain lies a hero.
