Kirito - Sword Art Online

Kirito - Sword Art Online (Josh Ziregbe)
Virtual reality is the technology that promises to open an escape to a world of inception, a world where people can wake up to a digital reality and only fall asleep to be in the real.

Sword Art Online summarizes one of the potential dangers of VR but honestly, who cares? It's all about blades, it's all about Kirito and it's all about clearing level 100! The year is 2022 and death on the other side means death in real life, so the 10,000 players trapped in the online game created by Akihiko Kayaba are literally playing for their lives.

I personally enjoyed watching this anime because every episode had me hunting for the next and beyond the sword play and magic, it had the markings of a great show: subtle yet relevant details hidden in plain sight, violence, great interpersonal dialogue, more violence, a little grape juice (blood) and of course, some more violence.

At the end of the day, I guess the show was awesome and to top it all of, season one leaves you asking, "Was the creator really a bad guy?"
