Gon Freecs vs Pitou - Hunter X Hunter (Josh Ziregbe) |
This drawing might be focused on Gon but
there is another interesting character almost lost in perspective, their name
is Pitou.
Gon’s mentor, Kite, was killed by Pitou, and the personality Pitou used their ability to resurrect Kite to train their soldiers. Thinking Kite was still alive and only imprisoned, Gon chased after Pitou in the hopes of making a rescue, however, when he finally realized that Kite was dead and gone forever and was face to face with the killer, Gom decided to kill the evil creature even if it would cost his own life.
But how could he defeat someone that had killed even his mentor? He would use every drop of power he had now and all the
power he would have in the future, it would kill him but at least Pitou would
be dead too; that was his resolve.
Pushing his enhancement abilities to their limit, Gon Freecs forced himself to age rapidly from 12 to his mid-20s in the blink of an eye and this gave him far more strength than he needed to crush this ant/cat/man/woman/personality/thing called Pitou. To say the battle was completely one sided, would be the understatement of 2017 but the emotionless expressionless on Gon’s face made the takedown even more epic.
Pitou barely survived the first hit and
the second killed ‘them’ but Pitou was still able to move because of an ability the personality of Pitou possessed and even after ‘their’ head had been smashed into the ground, ‘they’ still
managed to tear off one of Gon's arms. Gon, however, remaining completely unfazed by
the amputation, pinned Pitou to the ground by running his own torn arm through Pitou's chest and ended
things in a bang! #rockPaperScissors (for the Hunter X Hunter fans.)
Finally, this piece is an excerpt from a
series of very intense moments when resolutions based on love collide; Pitou
was protecting ‘their’ king. So I guess I should ask, what would you do for love?
PS: No one is sure of Pitou’s personality
but everyone is sure that Pitou exists.
