CeeC

Kill 'em All, CeeC (Josh Ziregbe)

There are a few things in this world as scary as a powerful woman. Permit me to quote the late Princess Diana, "They see you with all that power and wonder, where is she going, and what's she going to do when she gets there?" So it is not surprising when it seems the world is tailor-made to hate powerful women - the world fears what it cannot control.

In my opinion, CeeC is one of such women, believe it or not. No one is perfect and with great power comes great responsibility, with an even greater duty falling on your trigger finger. The nature of CeeC's power is still under my investigation as it is not just mental or physical, it appears to be something more. She evokes emotions from fans and haters alike.

Like most people I have come to love CeeC for her "realness" but I prefer to call this "true-ness" because realness has become associated with a nonchalant lifestyle and the absence of social awkwardness. When your personal nature is stiff, when you are uptight, when you truly prefer a walk in the park to a nightclub or you actually enjoy wine tasting and you embrace yourself in the full view of whoever cares to see, you are true.

So I did a bit of research to find out who exactly CeeC's fans were because I swear, if anyone could be voted out of Big Brother Nigeria Double Wahala, it would have have been her. Oddly enough, those that didn't like CeeC hardly cared for the rest of the housemates and so those few that loved her (and by few I mean a lot of people) were able to keep her in the house till the finals.

Here is the irony of life: the only way to find anyone that loves you is to show your TRUE self and not a version you are struggling to keep together. Even if this true-self is PROUD in the face of success, don't be cowed by what seems to be the general movement to humble every soul in the world. If you only pretend or even hide away portions of yourself, you will only get people to like you but trust me, no one would love you and to feel love once is better than a million likes.

I believe CeeC was herself in the #BBN house and that is why her fans loved her and voted for her. Her true-ness is the source of her power.
